What sets Innlay™ apart? Superior results. Innlay™ is the only technology of its kind to allow the incorporation of nanoscale or microscale particles directly onto products' surfaces. Other technologies modify polymers through one of two inferior routes:
  1) incorporation of particles during manufacturing (needlessly wasting particles, altering material chemistry, necessitating manufacturing and product formulation changes), or
  2) depositing a secondary polymer layer on the material surface (altering the surface composition, wasting energy, creating wear and durability problems, and altering look, feel, taste, and other properties).

Ease of adoption. Innlay™ is applied post-manufacturing at room temperature and pressure via conventional painting methods; for example, spray painting with conventional equipment is the recommended method of application. Changes to existing manufacturing processes are unnecessary, and curing processes (heat, UV exposure, etc) are unnecessary.

Cost effectiveness. Because Innlay™ requires no high capital expenditure to adopt and apply, and because Innova Materials has worked to control costs in the Innlay™ process and formulation, Innlay™ adopters can realize benefits without exorbitant cost. Relative to wasteful bulk incoproration during manufacturing, Innlay™ saves manufacturers material, cutting costs even further.

Material compatibility. The Innlay™ platform is compatible with a wide range of microscale and nanoscale materials, ensuring that Innlay™ adopters can benefit from limitless applications.

Environmental compatibility. The Innlay™ platform enables enhancement of products at room temperature and pressure, avoiding the high energy consumption of other processes and hence reducing carbon emissions. Furthermore, Innlay™ formulations are based on chemicals that can be manufactured from naturally occuring, renewable plant sources such as corn husks. The Innlay™ process also avoids the resource waste associated with the incorporation of material during product molding when the action of interest only occurs at the surface of the product.

Energy savings. Because Innlay™ is applied via room temperature and pressure spray painting, it offers energy savings relative to other methods which require high temperature and/or pressure application or post-application treatment.
